Description
It’s not clear where malachite’s name originates; but one version is that it could have come from the Greek word, “malache” which means “mallow”, because the color is similar to the color of mallow leaf. The history of malachite goes back to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, who used it to make jewelry and amulets. It was also ground into powder to make eye-shadow. Many years ago, vast blocks of malachite, some weighing 20 tonnes, were found in Russia and were used by the Tsars to decorate their palaces. Note : Due To Unique & Natural Occurrence Of Gemstones, Appearance May Vary Slightly
