Description
Found on the back of many coins, the coat of arms, and the great seal of the United States, the bald eagle was chosen June 20, 1782 as the emblem of the USA. There are various legends as to why it was chosen, one mentions that during one of the first battles of the revolution, the noise of the struggle awoke the sleeping eagles from their nests and they circled over the heads of the fighting men, all the while giving vent to their wild cries. They are shrieking for Freedom said the patriots. Our magnificent eagle pendant is a powerful reminder of this important symbol.
